Wtf. Did I miss something. I see vendors stating they will not be shipping reloading components along with ammo starting 2018. I thought reloaders were safe for now? Stated specifically no primers no brass. Really?

If I remember correctly, "ammunition" is defined in one section of the law to include bullets, though that section applies to "prohibited persons". How does a mail order house to know who is prohibited and who is not? Cabelas may decide that since they don't have stores in California, they're not willing to take the risk of legal action for a relatively small customer base.

I'm not saying I like it, but I think I see where they're coming from.

I'll buy small quantities of reloading supplies at the Cabelas outside Reno when I'm trying to develop a new hand load but other places typically have better prices for bulk buyers even after accounting for the cost of shipping.

Well it shouldn't be much of a surprise. We knew this was coming. The state did expand the definition of ammunition to include all the things "C" mentioned.

Seems to me that one could possibly read the law to mean bullets, not just loaded rounds.
