    327 mag & 32 h&r

    I'm looking at Lyman 327 carbide die set.
    Can this also load 32h&r?
    I'll be using Dillon 550. What powder die do I need. 327 or just 32

    Powder is w213 and what bullet choice are there

    Is it possible to load h&r to 32 long or even short level

    Thanks

    32 S&W Long dies will load 32 H&R Magnum. 327Fed Mag's parent case is 32HRM, so it should work. You should probably call Lyman and ask, just to be sure.

    Quite a few choices for bullets if you don't mind cast. Apparently a lot of cowboy action shooters are using 32's in various flavors.

    Pretty much any of the fast pistol powders will work, but you may have a bit of a time finding data.

    I have Hornady, so no help on the Dillon stuff.

      Dies

      Checking reviews of the Lyman die it can do .327 Federal and H&R .32 magnum.
      It cannot do .32 SWL. I have the RCBS die and it can do three calibers.

      On the RCBS #21412 my die number the bell die would not work on the .327. I called RCBS and they sent me another stem. I believe the stem is the one they use in the cowboy die.

      Current RCBS product code is #494544. That may already have the right stem for the expander.

      Best bullet choices are the Missouri 100 grain cast flat point and the Hornady 100 grain jacketed XTP.

      You can use any .32 H&R data for the .327 for reduced loads.

      Even 32-20 data is GTG.

        Dies are likely too long to be able to flare and crimp the 32SWL.

        Case OAL for those:

        32SWL: 0.920";
        32HRM: 1.075";
        327FedMag: 1.200"

        All are cylindrical, 0.337" diameter bodies.
