I think the newer wolf military classic is unlacqured.
I dunno, I've never been much for guns. I mean, sure, we have the usual gun by the door, another near the TV, one in the kitchen, and another in the bedroom...and several others laying around. For the most part though, we keep our home free of guns. We are peace loving folks. -

silver bear is nickel coated, golden bear is brass coated, and new wolf is polymer coated.
For wolf the lacquer (old) cases are greenish and the polymer (new) cases are gray
As far as I can tell the polymer stays on the casing pretty well during firing and extraction (so does lacquer for that matter)
What's your problem with lacquer exactly? aesthetics? AKs were designed for lacquered steel cases...According to this CDC document the firearms related death rate has been surpassed by the poisoning death rate.
Time for an assault drain-cleaner ban?
