Thanks to a lot of you calgunners for helping me get started with casting. Got out to the range and tested my first batch of casted and powder coated 405gr boolits. Sure the diameters weren't all that uniform, sure the weights had around 1-2gr differences but the powder drops were consistent and i think that matters the most over thousandths of an inch. Next casting session ill have a thermometer to measure the heat instead of winging it 
started with 11, 12, 13, 14 grs of unique. 11 sounded so weak it sounded like a queef. 13 and 14 are where it started to show a little more recoil and group the best. I'll try to up to 15gr because i really want to have a side load that kicks *** along with my 13gr fun loads. I read i'd need gas checks if i go beyond 1700fps or it'll lead my barrel so idk about buying more molds just yet.

Keep in mind i shot 4 from a sled and the 5th shot was standing at 50yds from a holo.
