    American reloading

Anyone ever order their .40 premium mix? I would like to know what grain bullets are included. I'm not getting any response from them.

Why would you want to buy from a site you are not getting a response from ? especially before they have your money ? I can imagine what the response will be like after they have your money.

I've had good luck when buying the mixed 155/165/180 gr Jacketed bullets.. My ratio was 80% 180, 15% 165, and 5% 155 with a few that were malformed. These are after all pulled bullets.. The premium mix I've had no experience with.. The mix is going to be random and might be the only way to get some bullets to load since the manufacturers don't always sell those projectiles.

They likely don't sit on the computer waiting to answer emails and likely get lots of inquiries.. they are good to go to deal with but might take a few days to get back to you.

I have ordered the 165/180 before and received decent product. Works out really well when you hit the sales right.

Not concerned about the percentages as much as what gr is included. If it is a mix including all the 40 weights that they carry, it is not worth it. if it is 155/165/180 or 165/180, I am more interested

I have ordered 9mm and 45 cal. mixed bullets before and they were good quality. Good price for mixed if you don't mind sorting.

I have gotten both 25 cal for my 25-06 and 7mm for my mauser. The ratio is different each time but was cheap for odd ball sizes. their prices have gotten higher.

I bought their pulled bullets a few times. Very good quality, most of them look brand new. I've gone through about 7 of the 15k total. I'd get like 10 out of 1k that is too deformed to reload. But at half price its hard to beat.

I can't imagine dealing with those mixed lots unless you buy a boat load so that you get enough of one bullet type and love developing new loads for each bullet all day.

I've bought a lot from them in the past, they are a lot more expensive now a days though. I've had the most luck with 9mm FMJ bullets 115/124 mix but have the best results when ordering FMJ 9mm in only 115 or 124 grain as the bullets are the same style in this case. I bought the 155/165/180 gr FMJ mix for 40 caliber and it's a whole mix of different types of bullets, not just in weight, there like 10 different styles of bullets in there. I used to buy surplus WC844 when it was on there but their powder choices are no better than other websites nowadays. I would try to stay with bullets of the same weight and style on there now, or buy elsewhere. Also I would wait for then they have sales on what you want to buy too, as the sales cycle every week it seems.

I don't mind the mix when the sale is right. I've ordered a few times on other mixes and been pleased. Right sale comes along and I'm getting .40 cal for .06 a round. Just don't know what's included in the premium mix

From what I recall, they didn't have the best shipping or response times.

That place blew up last February. They came on the scene with insane pricing for pulled bullets. I bought tens of thousands of bullets from them, then they upgraded the website, started selling powder, primed cases, etc. and the pricing went from unbeatable to standard. I'm back to RMR and Bayou these days.

I couldn't even tell you how many 230gr 45 I bought at 5 cents per round. 9mm was under 4 cents.. Pretty insane. Too bad those days are over.

I've bought many thousands of mixed 40 S&W. Find a load that works fine and is mid-book for both the 165 and 180, and load the hell out of them. Never had a single problem, loaded LOTS of them this way with Red Dot, shoot them out of several guns including my 40 AR.

I hope no one else ever orders from American Reloading. I'm tired of their prices going up. Why don't you guys keep talking crap about them so I can get all the good deals? OK, their mixed lots are a crap shoot as far as what you might get but, if you buy enough and take the time to sort them, they can be a good deal. I've never bought .40 from them because, I don't have a need for it but, I've bought many thousands of other bullets from .380 to 50BMG. I know their shipping isn't the fastest and am willing to wait when I order from them. I have yet to be disappointed with anything I've ordered from them. My last few orders have included 3000 .38 Barnes bullets and 3000 .380 and 9mm HP frangibles. Both of those were purchased cheaper than buying plated RN bullets. Watch the sales and pounce on rare stuff as soon as you can, whether it's on sale or not.
