I just renewed my CCW permit, and I switched out my .40 caliber SIG P239 for a 9mm SIG P239. (Don't worry, I still have a .45 caliber SIG P220 Carry and a .357 magnum S&W Model 60 listed.) I'm deciding between Federal HST 124 gr., 124 gr. +P, and 147 gr. to carry in it. Any input? I know, it's my choice, shoot what I like best, yada, yada, yada. But between those three choices for a P239, which would you choose?

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Federal HST 9mm: 124, 124+P, or 147?
I think you can't go wrong with any of the three. I've shot all the Federal HSTs when I was researching carry ammo. The difference is negligible. Based on the testings I've watched on YouTube, you'll get the most penetration with the 124+P, 124, then the 147. I decided to stock the 124 and 147 for carry. I use the 124 for my Glock 19 and the 147 for my Shield.Last edited by phdo; 10-11-2017, 7:46 PM.Comment

I bought some 147 grain +p HST for my HD glock 19. I chose 147 because you didn't have 147 +p listed.
Should be a little quieter if I have to light it off indoors due to it being subsonic. That's really my main reason for going with the 147...hearing damage may be slightly less severe.Comment
