    Best Powders/Caliber

    Calgunners,

OK - can we get some opinions -

What are the 'best' powders for some of the following calibers:

    .223
    .308
    7mm
    .308/.30-06
    .44M
    .50AE
    7.62x54R
    ...

Use your definition of best - and feel free to post what best means to you.

    Thanks!

For 223 I use IMR 4895 and for 308 I use 4064 both with Federal match primers. I've got good results. For 44 Mag I use Win 296 powder with Federal Large pistol mag match primers.

i've been using IMR 4350 for 54R.. its nice and case filling (actually an absolutely full case will cause trouble)

unfortunately (and I know this is weird) its the only rifle cartridge that I load (part of having 4 mosins and an SVT, and only 8 rifles in total)
According to this CDC document the firearms related death rate has been surpassed by the poisoning death rate.

Time for an assault drain-cleaner ban?
