For used pistol cases, how far out of round at the mouth can a case be before it should be tossed?

Yes, you would be amazed how far out they can be, and still come out very round from the sizing die, and then when you bell them, you're all good to go.Mike M.

I get some pretty out of round / dented cases on all the magnums and quite a few 45's .
I lower the sizing ball as low as I can after depriming .
If the case does not split - I then toss into the rest to be tumbled .
I do this on a single stage . After cleaning , they get resized - belled - etc - then reprimed .
About 1 in 20 will split , but I don't really keep track on which cases were mine and which were range pick ups .
To most of you this will seem like a lot of work - but I have helpers .
And no , I don't anneallife member - CRPA and NRA
