    Holy lubrication Batman!

I cleaned up my 2 year old 550b. All I've done to it after more than 10,000 rounds is clean up powder, lube the primer catcher and the main shaft a couple of times.

This time around, I cleaned the shafts, dropped ATF on all moving parts, injected grease into the lube ports. I use dry lube on primer catcher.

Boy! This thing feels better than new. I may opt to not lube my pistol cases as it's smooth as butter.

    The dies needed tightening too.

I've gotten into the habit of cleaning my press after a dirty operation, IE size 3-500 cases, blast grime away with WD40, wipe down, cover back up. Keeps it running like new.

I was given a 550 recently that was bought in the 80s and the machine was so stiff and squeaky. Did a complete disassembly and grease and oiled it and it was like new.

You know, you hear that, but primers these days seem to be pretty much immortal short of smacking them with a hammer.
