    New Dillon 650 needs help

So I just bought a Dillon 650 and all the stuff to load pistol and rifle. I want to start loading 223 and 9mm. I have all the brass and powder but no bullets or primers. I've been looking around online and everything looks out of stock or the prices seem high.

Please list some websites you guys have bought from and recommend. I'm looking to buy in bulk to get the best prices. At least 5000 pistol primers for 9mm and 5000 primers for rifle. I want to load an accurate 223 load for 3 gun competitions. The upper I use is plenty capable of half MOA with black hills ammo, but a cheap 1.5 moa load will work.

Anyone have any suggestions for websites to buy from and any 223 bullets/loads to start with?

Hey buddy, welcome to the reloading hobby. You just like me got into the hobby at a very wrong time because it is a pain in the *** trying to find components anywhere. Keep on Searching and you just might get lucky. I started reloading back in Early December of last year and I thank AR15Barrels for telling me what to buy and how to buy. So I started buying in bulk.

    Good luck on the bullets.

Oh, BTW, Just took this pic for you. The two ammo cans have 12k .223 bullets each. and I have reloaded about 24k rounds of .223 already. The key in the savings is buying in bulk but then again, good luck finding it. Give it some time and the buying frenzy will die down.

No but getting back to the OP. I bought the majority of my Bullets from Goldenwestbrass.com and Montanagold. The powder from Midway and Rainiers. The Primers from Midway and many other places as soon as I spotted them on stock. I keep a relaoding fund just in case when the stuff becomes available I can jump on it. Right now I am well set and don't really need to buy anything but I still keep my eyes peel for when stuff pops up. I honestly don't see the prices of reloading components coming down in the future so now that I have the money I would rather invest it in reloading because I have become addicted to it and I love being able to shoot my own reloads. I am glad that I am done with the majority of the brass prep and will not be doing any brass prep for a while.

+1 for Montana gold but only pistol bullets.
+1 for surplus ammo for rifle bullets.
+1 for midsouth shooter supply for the other stuff.
I guess I shouldn't be telling anyone. Give up on reloading. Give your stuff to chief and I.

I don't see anything wrong with the 650.
I only see poor planning on the operator's part.

                      1. Look into bullet casting. I'm just starting to get the stuff together for that now.

                      2. Get a C&R license if you don't have one already; it'll get you discounts at MidwayUSA and Grafs (although discounts at Midway are pretty slim these days)

Dillon 650s are over rated! Be like me and get a single stage press. Your reloading supplies will last you way longer...

                          J/K... I wish I bought a 650...
