Bobs bulk bullets and H335 loads

Anyone tried these two together?

Johnny's reloading bench on YouTube showed accuracy around 1 MOA with WOA match barrel at 25, 25.3, 25.6, grains. Really impressive results for the price point I would be able to load these for.

Out of curiosity, what bullets were you using?

Hornady 55gr bthp and some 69gr smk. Best loads were all using vargwt, not saying h335 is bad but it wasn't the greatest for me. I did see johnnys vid on bobs too and I'd like to flirt with a couple of those projectiles.

I'm trying them with AR-Comp at the moment. No results yet, just loaded them up, but they did measure very consistently, and the price was definitely nice.

I'm curious as to why you bought so many. Cement mixer perhaps?

Do the pins wear out by losing their cutting edge through dulling from tumbling?

I really have no clue but am interested. I still use corncob but will make the plunge to SS pins after I move. Well, maybe. The main reason I'd make a change here is the cleaning afforded to the flash hole and primer pocket by the pins.

I bought that many because bullets are something that I don't reuse, i.e., once I shoot them, they go to another place, typically somewhat far away, usually quite quickly, and they're hard as heck to find after that.

I don't think you're on the same frequency here. They are talking about bulk bullets and you're thinking about the SS pins.

Getting this one back on track, my first attempt is 24.0 gr of AR-Comp in LC cases, seated to the cannelure, light crimp using a Lee FCD. The 24.0 is probably on the light side, but it's a first use of these bullets, and the rifle in question has a 14.5" barrel, so more powder tends to be just more flash, really.

I've enjoyed Johnnys reloading bench videos for a few months. It has me interested in shooting bobs bullets and I hate shooting 223.

I'm contemplating to crimp or not. I think when he cranked the loads up past 25 grains, he seated to the cannelure and applied a crimp. OAL was shorter due to seating to the cannelure I believe.

25 gr. of H335 works fine for me.

What kind of accuracy did you see?
