Received some brass from a fellow Calgunner. Mostly range brass, but, all good. Needed a bit of tumbling. I honestly don't recall where I read this, but, sprayed a little Turtle wax in with media and cases. Viola! Cases look damn good! 2 hours and looking good. More tomorrow and handload these cases. Just thought I'd pass this on. Easy way to get cases pretty clean. And fast.

Meguiars was the brand I saw. Just can not remember where I read it. Anyway, most of the bras is R-P, Federal and Win. Some other's mixed in Almost all is LP, which makes things easier. Don't mind SPP cases at all. I'll load 'em. As far as what I'll be loading: All 230gr RN. Some X-treme plated, Sierra FMJ "Tournament Master", and LRN; X-treme or Speer. Powder will be Unique, Universal and Clays. Gun is a Springfield 1911 mil-spec.Comment

I always used Nu Finish, with walnut hulls, and was happy with that, until I went Stainless Steel wet tumbling, WOW, I'm waiting on Stilly's supper pins now.Mike M.

Just because I have access to them as I do a lot of metal finishing work at home.
When I've run out of Dillon polish, i'll reach for a tube of Peak, flitz, or Simichrome, they are on the expensive side but work, I do have a tub of turtle wax and will need to give that a shot.Comment

No, these are just larger than the ones that come with the Franklin Arsenal Rotary Tumbler (FART)
I've seen the irregularly shaped media on Amazon, it looks like it would work, but be an even bigger issue separating. But, hey I've never tried it, so it might work great, who knows?Mike M.

Yup Stilly's pins arrived today, along with a sample of his fancy powder coated bullets. He was supposed to wait for my check to clear, but they came pretty fast!
I think he read about my problems I had with some Hi-Tek coated bullets, and sent me some samples to try out....I'll give them a try, see how they do.....
I'm tumbling the pins by themselves right now, and can already tell, they are going to be easier to deal with, as they weigh enough that the surface tension of the water will not hold them on the sides of my tumbler!

I like Stilly's pins. That is all I tumble with right now. I need to take him up on his powder coating lessons.

There have been some people here that said dealing with Stilly face to face is a piece of cake but he seems to get himself in trouble on the 'net. I don't know him, not judging but I guess he rubs some people the wrong way here. I live fairly close and would like to try his pins.Yup Stilly's pins arrived today, along with a sample of his fancy powder coated bullets. I've never met him, and like others, for me, he took a little getting used to, but after awhile, I got to the point where I really looked forward to his "insight".There have been some people here that said dealing with Stilly face to face is a piece of cake but he seems to get himself in trouble on the 'net.
