    Good alternatives for varget?

I'm reloading for .308. So, as most of you know it's hard as hell to find any varget right now. I also can't find any of the obvious substitues for it like RL15 or 4064. Has anyone used 748 or H335 for .308 with any sucess??? ANy other powders you could recommend?

Except they are not really a good alternatives to Varget, because all of these powders are our of stock. You can try Vihtavuori too! they are a bit pricier, but I heard they are pretty good powders. Powder Valley got them in stock!

Try Hodgdon BLc(2), I've used it with 150 - 165 grain bullets with great succes and it's a ball powder that meters well.

            good luck finding BL-C(2) online...

If you don't mind paying for a arm and a leg, buy locally! They usually have at least some of the powders mentioned here in stock.

H4895 is fantastic and blc2 is also great as it is more dense, thus less potential for a compressed load with those HUGE all copper pills we have to use these days
