    ammo new laws.

i was just told something totally wrong, i was told that if you have a c&r license, you still can have the ammo for your c&R guns sent straight to your home. thats not the way i read the law. what is your take on it the law.

I live in a rural area. A few years ago a guy in the area was arguing with his wife. She got pissed that he got mad and went outside and damaged some of the plants around the property and called the Sheriff. She told them he had Black Powder in the barn.

They dispatched half the department and a helicopter. Huge scene at night. They took the husband into custody and seized his one pound of Black Powder. Next day the Sheriff says the husband did nothing wrong. He is free to damage his own plants if he wants and there is no law against having Black Powder, but they were called with a potentiality dangerous situation and had to respond accordingly.

He also said there is really no PC that limits how much powder someone may have, but there are health and safety code limits, that if even had been exceeded he would not arrest for nor seize the powder.

Don't be concerned about removing your posts, you were just getting ribbed by some of us in good fun. As far as who gave you the incorrect information, I refer to the quote from the great W.C. Fields:

"Never give a sucker an even break, or smarten up a chump."

Let him (or her) believe what they want.

thanks for the info. thats what i was looking for. now we have 1 more informed person and I can go on to correct my source and if he doesnt believe me well thats not my problem then.

Id remove my original post to avoid fud spreading but since others have my post in their replies, not much i can do there.

at least others can see it and be informed as well.

Q: What did the progressive reloading press of any color (Except smart reloader because they SUCK!) say to the notion of there being a 1000 round limit?

    A: Oops...

Haha well the whole high cap mag turn in didn't pan out so well. This would be an easy one to laugh in their faces about too.

You could've made Christmas lights out of those and sold them for charity or donations to CGF here.

I think there was a fire code thing about it depending on the size of your living quarters, but I'm not sure if that was based on apartments or houses, but I think you're fine as a private owner. See Librarian's post in #6:

112 grains per round for 1000. Now that's a boomer.

Is it true that in California you can only have 1000 rounds of any particular caliber of ammo?

I was told this by someone that usually has good info, but I cant find any regulations on this.

any guidance on regulations or laws relating to this would be great.

I think many would laugh at 1000 round limit

If you don't have at least 1,000 rds per weapon, then you better order some more! 🤠

If I can't come here for real info, then where to go. Ammo hoarders anonymous. We sure can't get good info from gun shops. I guess stilly has all the answers.

I agreed to divide my ammo, powder, and primer stash among my fifty closest friends so I wouldn't get into trouble.

    NOT!
