There was a recent conversation in this section about who to buy bullets from and there were many suggestions and many who had no knowledge so I ordered some from American Reloading. I figure this might be helpful to those who are thinking about pulling the trigger and want to know what to expect.
My order was for 1000 .40 in 155 grain 165 grain and 180 grain and 500 9mm spread over 100, 115, 124 and 145. All in TMJ pulled projectiles. The order came to around $101 on a 20% sale with free shipping. Shipping took a little over a week and if for some reason you need to communicate with them via email (I did) they were prompt in responding. Diameters looked good on everything I checked, wasnt a huge sample group but if anyone really wants to know I can do a larger sample group and post information.
First up is the .40 From Left to right 155, 165, 180

Condition was ok, some looked a bit roughed up and in some cases had mild damage from pulling, but nothing where the lands will engage the projectile and nothing that went through the copper. Weight spread was at most 3 grains and on average about 1 grain. I did however have these two...
7 grains over and poorly formed.

And this one, that was severely under weight.

Moving on to the 9mm
From left to right 115, 124, 145 Center: 100 grain. The weight spread was on average not much but at most there were a few that were a grain over or a grain under. Now it is important to note that American Reloaders gives a very up front disclaimer that they can not guarantee quantities by weight. These are all pulled and go into the same crate and they came to me in bags. However this is the one thing I was slightly disappointed with. I was hoping for a bit more of a healthy mix. I got a grand total of five 145 grain projectiles and probably no more than twenty 124 grain projectiles. This could have been due to any number of factors and is probably outside of the control of the company.

Pros:
Cons:
All in All I will probably order from them again, probably this week. For the price its worth the sorting.

Pros:
- Sent me over 1500 projectiles (I think thats clear from the photo).
Price was good.
Shipping time was reasonable.
Company is good at communicating.
Cons:
- The ratios on the 9mm portion of my order were not very good.
There were serious weight anomalies.
There were a couple of FMJ's mixed in (about two and im not sure this belongs in the cons column).
There were a few that had damage and some that had signs of overcrimping (but not many).
All in All I will probably order from them again, probably this week. For the price its worth the sorting.
