Request for recipe .223 80 grain using Varget

Looking for .223 80 grain load data for Nosler 80g Custom Comp & 80g Sierra Match King. Prefer but not stuck on Varget. I have the info put out by Nosler but I can't find a Sierra reloading book at any of my local gun shops (actually I found an older book but it only went up to 63g).
    I have a 1-7 twist barrel.

    Thank you

I've used 24.7gr of RL-15 but for 75gr. They seem to be better then Varget. Varget does burn cleaner..but when your going for points, if a dirtier powder that shoots better then a cleaner powder...I'd go for dirtier burning...especially when your going for a couple thousand dollar prize.

The Sierra Manual says: 21.3-24.0 grains with the 80's.

Thanks for the info, I've been having a hell of a time dialing in this rifle. When I first put it together I didn't know any better and tried 55g and the results were all over the paper (and a few off the paper) at 50 yards. The best results to date is 2.2" @ 50 yards using 77g Nosler Custom Comp, 24.0g Varget & 2.255 C.O.L. I brought the rifle to Apex Tactical to inspected for any obvious problems, didn't find anything but suggested I install a freefloating forward handguard.

I'm hijacking my own thead but... I tried this C.O.L. test http://www.larrywillis.com/OAL.html (see fourth paragraph) and my tests results were an average of 2.375" for C.O.L. That's almost an eigth of an inch difference from what the books suggest for C.O.L. That does not seem right.

        Upper CMMG 1-7 twist
        Lower DSA

        Thanks again

You need to go with TAC powder after your done with the Varget.
It works best in heavy .223

24.0gr of Varget is standard for 77 and 80.

I use 24.0gr of RL15 with 80gr SMK and Berger VLD in Lapua brass.

For Lake City, I bump it to 24.5gr of RL15.

hummmm, one thing i learned a long time ago....dont change loads to get better groups, check your shooting tech. and the rifle before changing loads.
