    Reloader 6.5 Creedmoor

    Good afternoon,

I am very new to reloading and am attempting to reload 6.5 Creedmoor for a Savage 12 LRP. I will be using a Lee single stage loader and Lee Precision 4 die set. I will be using once fired Hornady brass. Unfortunately I think I have read to much info at this point because i am beginning to confuse myself. My questions involve case prep and bullet seating. So far I have deprimed and neck sized. After neck sizing a majority of the brass measures out to 1.914 to 1.917. My question is what length do I trim the brass to? Second I will be using 140 grain ELD-M bullets. Is 2.810 OAL correct? All the factory ammo I use is that length, and I am happy with the results I am getting. Any additional info or tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Matt

Get a reloading book or three and read them!It will contain most ,if not all the info you will need.
    Keep it simple!

Actually have three books. All my cases say they are within spec. Is the that good? The 3-5 thousandths of an inch will translate to OAL when seating bullets , is that OK ? am I over thinking this?

Last question then... Do I need to trim at all as long as they aren't longer than 1.920? Thanks

If you are within what a book shows, typically a spread of .010 will be shown ,you are ready to load.If you are excessive ,then a trim is needed.A little under(.005) is not usually a problem.
