After hearing about the 460 from Spyder... I just had to look into it.
Next thing you know, I've got one of my G21's converted over, got a bunch of starline brass, and I'm working up my first loads.
Since the only 45 bullets I have on-hand at the moment are Xtreme's... I'm trying them out. (proper FMJ's are on the way, I'll work up a load for those later.)
For starters, I'm going with Longshot (have lots on-hand for 10mm), 230gr round nose Xtreme's, and an OAL of 1.250. Trying out from 9.0 to 10.3 grains, at .1 grain intervals.
Normally I crank out metric crap-tons of 9, 40, 10mm, 45, etc... but with this cartridge, the pressure variants seem to be finicky, so it's one-at-a-time like Juan Valdez's coffee beans.
If anyone has a 460 recipe using longshot handy, please share!
