I probably can't answer your question, I just loaded my first 50 rounds yesterday. Did it say it crimped? If it is a taper crimp it should say TC on it. I bought a set of RCBS dies in .45 acp and the seater die also crimps.

It is common for the seater to also crimp - remove the seat screw, put a dummy case with bullet in it and see if it crimps.

            Get a separate crimp die.
The ammo gets more consistent if you only seat with one die and then crimp with a different die.
