I typically use my .270 and 30.06 but just got my Ruger Model 1 in .280 set up with a scope and am ready to hit the range with a some factory ammo. But since I might be needing some no-lead I want to have some rounds made with Barnes TSX bullets but not too familiar with this cartridge. I was hoping to be able to use this Ruger to take some longer shots at big game and was hoping someone on here might point me in the right direction.
If anyone in East Contra Costa County has this set up to reload along with the time or willingness please hit me up with a PM.
I do have a friend out of the area but he doesn't have the dies and not sure how this will perform.
