Anyone know a good powder for 9mm handgun and carbine that will meter well through a Dillon xl650? I would prefer to develop one load for all my handguns and 9mm ar, if possible..

I love AA#2. 4.5grs with a 115 gr plated bullet is great. Titegroup is great, too. 3.3grs with a 147 is my load.

I have run these through pretty much every handgun commonly made, along with a CZ Scorpion, MPX and MP5. No issues with any of them.

Any one of those meters better than the rest?

With only 3.3g of titegroup, will a double charge be obvious?

The AA#2 meters extraordinarily well and will fill a case to the point that a double charge will overflow. I absolutely love it. It is also super clean.

A double charge of Titegroup is obvious if you look in every case. Most double charges in 9mm are easy to spot if you're looking because the case capacity is so small.

I load 3.4 grains of Titegroup under a 147 grain bullet in my XL650 and it meters extremely well. Your powder charge warning die (or whatever it's called) in station 3 should catch any double charges.

I shoot this load suppressed and unsuppressed in my 9mm handguns and rifles without issue.

Allient Power Pistol works well in both pistol and my MPX. The MPX does a little better with a slower high gas volume powder. N340 also has shown promise. N320 at Minor Power Factor loads can get iffy on the MPX. There are so many good powders out there, just pick one and load.

                      I use CFE pistol , HS6 , HP38 for carbine , 9 , 25 acp , 380 , 38s .
                      Varget [ very dirty - when gone , I won't but more ] for rifles .
I stick with hodgdon powders - easier to find --

I have heard he carbines like a slower burning powder? How does power pistol meter?

                        Any experience with cfe pistol?

CFE pistol also meters very well. It seems to perform better at higher pressures though.

In regards to W231 and HP38, I'll be honest, I don't know. I do know that when I set my powder charge to 4.9 gr of either, and I test weigh various throws, I always get 4.9 gr out of my Dillon. I'm pretty happy with how both are consistent from throw to throw.
