    Priming tool Suggestions

Does anyone have a recommendation for a priming tool, hand or bench.. Brand and model would help. Pistol and Rifle primers.

I have a Redding turret press, I like the quality of their products.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

I use RCBS hand priming tool for rifle rounds. It is not much slower, and I can feel the primer seating.

Lee hand primer. Low cost and works great.

Luv my RCBS. Hand prime alot of match loads that I don't run through the Dillon.

The Lee and the RCBS both work very well, I own both of them and use the RCBS primarily. I am sure that there are plenty of others out there that are of similar design that work just fine, but I have ony used the Lee and RCBS

I had the Lee. Two of them actually. I really liked it, but broke each one after about 3000 rounds. I bought the RCBS and have done double that with no problems. So I would recommend the RCBS over the Lee.

I have used a Lee hand prime for years and have had no problems. You need to lube them at there pivot points. I got two of them. One for large primers and one for small. I Highly recommend them.

I have tried RCBS hand priming tools but they really aggravate my carpal tunnel. This is what I purchased as a replacement and would never use a hand primer again. The Cadillac of priming tools IMHO. Read the reviews.

I have used a Lachmiller bench priming tool for eons -- I also use several old style lee hand primer tools with the screw in shellholder -

When I use a hand primer, it's an RCBS.
I often prime on the dillon though.
I just take the toolhead out.
It's faster to simply place the case in the shellplate and let it run through the press into the loaded cartridge bin after the last station.
The long dillon 550 handle really let you feel when the primer seats properly.
