The reloading set up for now......

I have gathered all the parts to start reloading on my temporary bench. The bullets were ordered today....







When the bullets come i will be stamping out shootable rounds. Nothing like shooting what you made. Thanks to the net for the help!

Yes I used some dry wall screws for now and its a pretty stable.

I speak from experience,put your tumbler on the floor. Less chance of an accidental spill of media onto your work area.

I live in a paper thin wall condo, so my tumbler is too loud, so I put a towel over the tumbler, reduces noise alot!! thats if you need to..

This is what I cut and paste from another thread and maybe it will help. If your talking about the equipment most was purchased through Natchez, Midway and ebay and assorted tools through Sportsmans Warehouse and Harbor Freight. If your talking about the temporary bench until I get the bigger reloading bench made I got all the supplies @ Home Depot for like $30.


I cant speak from a ton of experience because I am new to reloading, but when I started I purchased the RCBS supreme master reloading kit for about $260 and the outfit threw in the .223 FL dies to boot. ( kit includes Press, powder dispenser, scale, reloading manual and assorted tools like funnel, deburring tool, primer pocket cleaner, hand primer, case tray,lube pad and bottle of case lube ) The other things I added was a RCBS vibratory cleaner for $60, Lyman universal case trimmer fo $60 and assorted tools like a set of electronic calipers for measuring case length at Harbor Freight tools for $16, bullet puller for about $20 and RCBS military crimp remover for about $15 and you will need an appropriate case holder for the press which is about $15. If you get cleaning media get it at Petco and get it. They sell large bags of crushed walnut for $12. This will save you a few bucks! Hope this helps.

I bought a little folding metal bench at Harbor Freight for like $16 that I do reloading on. Really, it was to mount the powder dispenser somewhere more than anything but I mounted a Lee single stage press on it too. I'm going to replace the cardboard that passes as wood with some leftover 7/8" flooring plywood I have from remodeling a bathroom. When not using the "bench", it folds down and doesn't take up much space at all. But, I also have a Lee hand press and do a lot of operations (decapping, sizing, etc.) with that sitting in my "fluffy chair" while watching TV.
