    RCBS Summit press

I've been eyeballing these for a while. Anybody use one of these?

Yeah, much like the old Jr. press. I Just reload handgun and it works fine. Should be ok for regular rifle too like 308 or 223. Not a lot of price difference though so get the Rock Chucker if wanting something for larger brass like 7mm Rem Mag and up.

Are you sure you're talking about this press?

        No personal experiences
They are fine for light work, would be great for range on site load workup.
no good for bullet resizing. No good for full length rifle case resizing.
With heavy use there are reports of the press body "tube" coming loose from the base.
        Expensive for what you get.
        But not a bad press.

I don't have one, but have used one belonging to a friend...I'm saving up for a Co-Ax instead

For the amount/type of reloading that most folks do, the Summit is plenty of press.

It's major advantages are that it has a smaller footprint and the front is more accessible than an "O" style press. It really is nice that it doesn't extend below the mounting surface.

It's 2 disadvantages is that 1) you can't prime on the press...which isn't a huge factor for most folks who load on a single stage press...and 2) that it continues using the RCBS less than optimal spent prime handling (but better than the RC)

It is pretty cool that you can use it at the range when developing loads
