Black Powder supplies in North SD County

I'm in northern San Diego county & I'm looking for a shop that sells BP supplies. Yes, I already know I can buy what I seek over the 'net & by mail. But, I wouldn't have the ooh & ah factor of actually handling the stuff before buying it & I like that.

    Any suggestions?

If you drive up to Basspro they have a good selection right now of BP rifles. I just picked up an inline Thompson. The prices aren't as good as Midway or Cabelas but I had the wife talked in to it and had to jump on it before she changed her mind. Their selection of BP pistols isn't very good.

ETA: I know Basspro's not in your area but just thought I'd mention it.

Well, that's OK. Maybe Basspro isn't too far of a drive? Where are they? I ride a bike (GREAT mileage) & so don't mind going a little out of area.

The Basspro is up in Ranch Cucamonga (right by the intersection of the 15 and the 66).

The only other place that sells BP stuff is El Cajon Gun. Also, the ONLY place around that sells real black is Duncan's in San Marcos.

They may have BP, but they don't have anything else. They don't even recommend themselves as a place to go for PB.

As for Rancho Cucamonga, that's a bit of a ride. But, I could use a day-trip.

Duncan's in San Marcos has Black Powder but you have to ask for it. Last time I was in there an HSA was buying 24 lbs for making pipe bombs for a training exercise of some sort. I believe I saw Sabots behind the counter as well.
