    Sig Sauer ammo

Yesterday I went shooting with my daughter's boyfriend and he asked a question that I had ZERO knowledge about. I am sure someone here will know and others will chime in.

Is the Sig Sauer ammo made by Sig or made FOR Sig? What is the quality of the ammo?

copied this from the american rifleman website:
SIG Sauer acquired an existing ammunition-production facility in Kentucky, Fini told me, and staffed it with SIG Sauer employees to produce and load all current ammunition offerings there

    here's the link: https://www.americanrifleman.org/art...ls-and-rifles/

I've only shot a few boxes on paper but so far its been very good. Lots of sales recently on this ammo at Cabelas and i think Brownells.

SIG ammo is good. It is towards the top of standard factory ammo. Underwood and Buffalo Bore are hotter, but SIG is a little hotter than all the standard companies like Federal (and other ATK brands), Winchester, Remington, Fiocchi, PMC, etc.

        +1 on this.
I once pondered over the debate of 9mm vs. .40, then I was introduced to .38 super and 10mm and forgot all about it.

I have purchased it for SD ammo. Cycles thru Glock OK.

Tried some 9mm 115gr fmj. Shot really well out of my USP.

They claim that it feeds better because of the slick finish/coating on it.

Thanks all! At least I now have a smattering of knowledge about it.
