What type of projectiles are you using?

I was just thinking about cutting reloading costs as I always do and I was surfing the Web for prices. Anyhow I use powder coated cast lead bullets, I don't use fmj or plated because I don't see any added benefit for my range ammo. It seems like more and more people are switching to powder coated. I mean why not it's cheaper, cleaner and let's face it they look neat. How many of you have made the switch? I've used falcon and Missouri bullets both have been good.

I have made the switch to ACME'S for all of my competition loads and I really like them. I can use less powder for the same velocity(plated) which is a huge bonus.

I use cheap platted bullets like Rainier for range practice. No sense in spending more money on copper clad stuff to just shoot paper for fun.

I shoot mostly plated and powder coated (cast my own ) for practice. For my magnum revolver loads I use jacketed.

I've been wanting to cast my own but haven't taken the leap yet.

I use Precision Delta JHP for my 9mm loads. I tried a couple of different coated bullets and have not gotten the same consistency. I should really try them again since I changed powder.
I have no time to cast my own though, so would just order them up from Eggleston, Blue, or Bayou

I deal with the pain of casting my own....and lube/sizing on an old Star Lubrisizer.

I shoot lots of things. IN the AR's they get 55 gr Hornady over runs at .07 each!

IN the .30 cals both Recycled and cast.

In the pistols and large caliber rifles nothing but Cast and as of about a year ago all get powder coated.

I just fired 50 PC'd 429421's thru my Ruger SBH Bisley last Saturday with mid range loads. Cleaning consisted of one patch thru the barrel to clean out the powder fouling left by the last shot!

I shoot PC'd 452374's in my .45's. All of them get the same load and are turned out on the 550B.

Powder Coated lead boolits are definitely the way to go for volume shooting as my .45 ACP reloads with range brass are right at .07-.08 per round.

The two that I use the most for pistol practice loads are from Badman bullets for poly coated and Bear Creek Bullets for moly coated. Both work great. The Bear Creeks I pick up in person and the Badman Bullets I get from here.

I just started and only know to goto Brownell or Cabelas, for Xtreme or Berry's pistol bullets, and Monmouth for their Hornady 223 pills.

I only shot lead when plated was hard to come by locally during the last ammo shortage, and the price was right for my 9mm (also tried some .380 projectiles in lead for 9mm for kicks), until I got my wheel-gun recently.

158gr LSWC and PCLSWC are my new favorite in the wheel-gun for .357 and .38 SPL.

I use Berrys plated bullets, .45 200gr wadcutter and 9mm 115gr round nose in my pistols and Hornady 150gr FMJBT in my 30CAL and 55gr FMJBT in my .223.

Try falcon bullets I find that they have good deals and shipping is super fast.
