Yes Magnetospeed attached the whole time.
Do I know how a proper test is done? Possibly not. This was *not* a classic OCW type of test, this was a velocity test as a shortcut to an accuracy node via the Satterlee method as seen in recent 6.5 Guys video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACyfeeBHVOA).

Maybe shortcuts get you what you pay for, maybe this method is the bee's knees. I don't know as I've never tried it before, hence the asking for assistance in knowing if my "relatively" flat spot was indeed a flat spot.

I don't need perfect 1-hole groups with an AR, I need minute-of-bunny-head (2 inch diameter?) which out at 200 yards is 1 MOA.

      Indeed.

Run a proper ladder test at 200yds with 0.2gr spacing.
Pick the charge weight in the middle of the node and then play with seating length until it groups the best.
Should be done in 30-50 rounds.

Chronograph it when you are DONE so you know what you have.

Are you shooting a ladder test with the magnetospeed attached to your barrel?

That will only help you if you do ALL your shooting with the magnetospeed attached to your barrel as the megnetospeed dramatically effect the weight of the barrel...

I didn't even think about this. The magneto speed would change the barrel harmonics. Nodes probably won't be the same with and without it.

Velocity flat zones are the same either way. Barrel harmonics are not.

The most basic understanding of harmonics would seem to bear that out.

No amount of group testing with a magnetospeed attached will be useful.
If you want to shoot groups AND measure velocity at the same time, you need a chronograph which is not attached to the barrel.

The one huge advantage of the lab radar. Though with the price difference, I just take extra data. Shoot groups and take velocity data as separate actions.
