    Dies and components I need

Im sorry to do this without researching this more, im writing this minutes before i head out to class. I need help with knowing which Dies i need for reloading .45, 50AE,44MAG. I also need to know which primers and powders will work for these calibers, bullets as well. Cabelas is having a 10% off free shipping sale for card members so i want to make these purchases tonight when im back home. I dont believe cabelas has bullets for the 50AE so i'll have to look elsewhere for that.

GTG before i miss my bus, i'll look more into this today as well thru my phone. Thanks and i appreciate any help.

Dies-Carbide type such as RCBS, Hornady if on a single stage/turret press. Dillon if on a Dillon machine. Do not forget to buy the shellholder also. Some like lee dies(they cost less)

Primers-I just use mag primers. Speer says not to use them if using 2400 powder in the 50AE. H-110, win296 are the same powder and a top choice for the 44mag and 50AE. For mild 44mag loads with lead or jacketed bullet I use unique or 700x.I do not know about the 50AE. Many powders will do well in the 45ACP such as win231, unique, 700X.
Bullets is wide open-Hornady, Speer and others. It depends on what for. For the 45ACP I use 185/200/230 gr bullets. For the 44mag I use Hornady or Nosler 200gr HP bullets for mag loads and they are great on deer/bear/yotes/squirrels/PD's and probably others that I have not hunted with my pistol. I have used 250gr cast bullets I made and 240gr bullets from other sources with unique or 700X with good results as a mild load. They still work well on squirrels. I do not load the 50AE so no help there.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Get a manual, that will give you all the load information you should have.

X2. Or get more than one load manual... I'm a little OCD, I read 3 different manuals prior to setting up my press... as far as loading goes, I compare loads from manual to manual then go with what I feel I want to use.

You appear to be too busy, so send me your credit card info, and I'll buy what you need.

Thanks! How many pounds of powder and 1000s of primers do you recommend buying to sort of negate the hazmat fee?

I think you're too busy to reload.
You need to make your own decisions and learn before you even start to buy.
HazMat is $25, so, how many do you need to buy, plus $25, to be cheaper than at the LGS?
I can tell you this: unless you have a Dillon SDB, you can use any dies and Lee's are as good as any and Hornady New Dimensions have features you might like, but YOU have look into things if you want what is best for YOU.

I know but this sale is one day only and it just popped up without notice. I was planning to do more research on components but I also don't want to miss out. Honestly though it might come around between now and summer sales. Right now I'm just too busy with school but in a month I'll be done and have up to August to really study up. I've been prepping 223 cases when before bed and any chance I get lol

For me currently, going to my local Turners and buying a lb or two of powder there is a better deal than paying hazmat and ordering online. Their powders range 29-32+tax. I've picked up some primers there as well; iirc they were 2.99/100, which is still only a few bucks more/1000 than online vendors. I would have to buy ~10lbs powder and 5000+ primers in one order to start saving money when paying a hazmat fee.

Typically when online vendors offer free hazmat and/or shipping I am broke. Seems what has happened last few times. Lol

You have been here for 4 months, have 52 threads about how to do this or that wrt reloading.

                    Good luck.

That really does seem like a good idea to start off with. That way i can try out a few 1lb powders and sure I'll be paying a few bucks more now to experiment and practice with but I won't mind much.
