    redding die

    just started reloading for 45 colt. i'm using some inherited rcbs dies. in the rcbs box is a redding die, labeled 45 colt pro cr 7b. looking down at the top of the die there is a slot (index mark?) on each side of the hole. both slots are colored, one being red, the other black . anyone out there tell me what this die is...thanks...captn-tin

    I wonder if it is a special crimp die that not only crimps the neck, but also
    does that cool crimp below the bullet base.

        yep, rksimple, thats the one. i'll have to learn how to post pictures one of these days. wonder where i might get instruction book for that particular die. i'll check out reddings site. should be there. thanks for the info. apparently this die puts a slight taper crimp on the case befor it goe to the roll crimp mode. anyone out there using one? whatcha think of em? thanks again
