    Reloading .40S&W on a Dillon 650

    Hey fellas,
I'm looking for some advice on setting up a Dillon 650 to reload .40S&W for my new Glock. My 650 is already tooled up for .223, with the case feeder. Do I just need the caliber conversion kit? And, what about the case feeder?

You will need a small pistol plate for your case feeder. Dies and conversion kit should be it. Maybe a quick change kit would be conveinent.

      Phong,

Go get a quick change set with toolhead, powder measure, etc. It'll make it much faster when you change calibers (no need to change out dies and re-set each time). It'll save you about an hour each time. Or, you can get another 650 .

Other than the quick change, you need the caliber conversion and small pistol shell plate as joelogic stated above. I assume you already have the dies...

You also need flip the thing on the case feeder from the short plane to the long plane. Just an allen bolt and flip it 180 degrees. I don't know what the part is called, but it activates the case feeder from the tube.

Thanks for the input fellas, very much appreciated.

Since I'll be shooting a stock G22/G35, can you share some simple recipes? Most likely, I'll just take whatever you post here and go with that. It doesn't look like fine tuning the load will be that important for a stock Glock.

What bullets do you have? Did you get an aftermarket barrel?

I've started the process of ordering a new barrel from Lone Wolf but don't have the bullets yet.
Suggestions for the cheapest and most reliable? Accuracy not as important.

forget the small pistol plate for the case feeder, get a large one instead unless you plan on reloading 9mm. As far as flipping the case feeder inlet, unless you have a really old version, its not necessary.
