    Cabela's - Chargemaster for $202!

In case you have some of the SVM 20% off Cabela's gift cards kicking around and have an Active Junky account, you can score an RCBS Chargemaster combo for $202.46 today.

    Sale price of $292.49 + 19.95 S&H ($312.44)
    - Cabela's $20 off $150 purchase Code 176YF20 ($292.44)
    - Active Junky is offering 15% cash back ($265.57)
    - Buy with 20% off SVM gift cards ($212.46)
    - $10 2nd Amendment mail-in rebate ($202.46)

I was on the fence about another one until I did the math...
Its an expensive hobby, but more expensive when you try and convince yourself you don't need what you really want.

End cost is actually a little lower:
    292.49-49.72 (Swagbucks + AJ @17%) = 242.77
    242.72 (-.05 diff between shipping & discount)-58.49 (20% gift cards off 292.44 total) = 184.23
    184.23 - $10 Mail In Rebate (+.42 stamp) = 174.65

Can anyone else check my math?

you cant combine swagbucks with AJ. I mean i've gotten away with it once but they normally dont allow double dipping and i wouldn't risk it just for an extra 2%.

i was planning on getting an auto drum for a LCT press. How will a chargemaster benefit me, ive seen these advertised in packages but no one really praises them.

Not true. The Chargemaster is pretty well respected among the PRS, benchrest, and F-class shooters

The Chargemaster is an off-the-press powder measure, mostly used for single stage loading precision rifle rounds. It adds precision by sacrificing speed, something not usually done for pistol rounds

I follow a lot of reloaders and precision shooters on YT and none of them use a chargemaster for their rifle rounds. But like you said this machine probably falls into a very select niche where someone wants the exact thousandth of a grain accuracy in a charge. Is this fair to say?

I have one. And like the cell phone, pc, and the wheel- I can't fathom life without it.

I've had 100% success over the last few months with it. They track two different ways. Granted, I did install the swagbutton, so that may be necessary to get both.
                    My Process:
Navigate to Cabelas via active junky. Open second window to Cabelas, activate Swagbucks in that window (will activate it for both). Return to first page, purchase, and go. Has worked every time for me. Google Chrome browser.

No. Thousandth of a grain accuracy isn't possible without a lab grade. A single kernel of most powders weighs 1 to 2 hundredths of a grain. The chargemaster is accurate to a tenth like most other digital scales, except that it has a dispenser that dispenses based on weight instead of volume such as a manual powder measure does.

The chargemaster is for people who want to individually verify and weigh each and every powder charge.

But typically, yes, there people are chasing accuracy sub-moa out to several hundred yards, and velocity ES and SD numbers under 10

Only applies to anyone who's used a powder thrower for rifle rounds.
