    LAX Ammo vs Freedom Munitions?

    Hey everyone,

Does anyone have experiences shooting both of these brands?

They have killer deals on new and RM rounds and I'm thinking of getting some for range practice.

    Specifically:
    9mm 115g
    9mm 124g
    9mm 147g

    .380 100g

I'd love to hear thoughts if some run hotter, feel softer, issues with sizing or failures of any kind.

    Thanks in advance!

Some QC issues with FM. I bought from LAX because they had 6.8SPCII and I needed some. No F2F IIRC

Just the occasional F2Fire. Fine for practice. Wouldn't trust my life to it except in a pinch.

That I can deal with for practice ammo, I did recently buy some 45 ACP from them to give a try since I kept hearing great things about them and it is very nice looking ammo. This is the first time I have seen anyone speak negatively about them.

Freedom Munitions is junk and their new manufactured 9mm brass is stepped junk. I've never shot LAX but their new headstamp brass is top quality, it wouldn't surprise me if starline makes it for them.

There was a thread a while back which had a lot of negative feedback. I haven't had any issues with the 9mm stuff, but several with the .223/5.56.

I had a coupon for free shipping so figured I would give them a try. I purchased the new ammo though NOT reloads. Hopefully everything works out okay.

I know many of the YouTube gun channel folks seem to use it with good result so we shall see.

I have had great luck with LAX's .357 magnum reloads.

This. Tried out their Reman .223 55g and I had FTF issues as well as some FTE.

I've shot name brand ammo without ever having an issue so I've steered clear from them. I've had good luck with their 9mm ammo

Shot about 500 rounds of factory new LAX 9mm. Zero issues.

I've never had a problem with freedom munitions new component loads. Not in 9mm or 45 acp.
I have had the pleasure of paying Cal prices and also paying the sales tax on LAX ammo. No problems with their rounds either. Just expensive.
