    Dirty ammo or corrosion?

Hi, ordered some Federal HST and received several boxes of rounds looking like this. I don't know if its just dirty or its corrosion. I tried to wipe it with a paper towel, degreaser, and Hoppes 9. Also tried a kitchen scrub pad. Only thing the Hoppes 9 did was lighten the marks but also made the bullet lighter also. Insights? Thanks.

From here that looks like tarnish , see if lemon juice removes it.
If it is tarnish ... I know they don't look pretty but I'd rather NOT go wiping defense ammo down with solvents and just let them be.
I've had a ton of HST ammo and never seen any like this.
    But copper can/will tarnish

      Awwhhhh.
I just ordered 200. You could consider taking pics of the ammo and sending them to the mfg and ask if this is normal.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

I have emailed the vendor and awaiting a reply.

I only used the Hoppes 9 as a test. Not planning on using that particular round.
