SIE is Sierra, a manufacturer of bullets.
LCN is conical nose. It is not the same as round nose. Conical is more, well, cone-like. It has a flatter ogive.
I used 3.7grains of W231 behind a 124grain LCN bullet. That is a very light load for shooting games and is barely above the 'no-malfunction' power as long as I hold the gun tightly.
Start with the starting load on Hodgdon and work your way up from there. -
Thanks for the info WJH. Do you happen to have a C.O.L. measurement for that? Or shoud I just crimp on the end of the lead band that is on the bullet?
