Small Rifle Magnum Primers in .223?

weidners has wolf small rifle magnum primers in stock, and they in say to be used in 5.56, can this also be used in .223's or would this cause too much pressure for the cases?

Just have to adjust load accordingly, work up a new load with the mag primers. I use the cci 450 mag primers on some of my loads, just depends on the powder, and I have worked up the load.

      No.

Should be fine, as long as you work up your loads (as you should do whenever you change any component) and you're not running some really light mainspring.

Wolf SRMag primers have a thicker cup than the non-mag to reduce the chance of a slamfire in AR's or other rifles with floating FPs.

I have been using magnum SPP in my 9mm because I can't seem to find standard primers. I don't think I will use anything else now as I can't tell the difference.
