    Barrett MRAD 308 laods

Hey guys, just jailed at Barrett MRAD in .308 with a 24" 1:10 Heavy barrel. Anyone have any good loads worked up for either this or something similar? Mainly bullet weights and powder recommendations?

I can't say much about a load for the Barrett but I've had really good results with 41gr of H4895 with 168gr Berger Hybrids.

Thanks. I planned on using the h4895 I have. Just wasn't sure if there are better powders for that length barrel? I'm thinking 168-180gr bullets.

Take a look at this sticky thread. Randall has posted some good info on different bullet weights and powder loads. It'll give you a general idea of what powder and bullet combo will give you X amount of velocity. You can do a load development and see what works well in your Barrett.

            I use the following:

            IMR 4895 43.2
            Lapua case
            SMK 168 grain
            CCI 200
Bullet seat is 5 thousands off the lands

Bottom two are the finished results, now all above means jack for your gun but it's a start. I also used the IMR load data since Sierra seemed very low.
