Storing primers next to powder shouldn't be a problem. Storing primers in a garage around gasoline can though. I was advised by a fire capt that gasoline vapors can be an oxidizer and can ignite primers.

While it's obvious that explosives and flammable liquids should shouldn't be stored together, I don't find anything that indicates gasoline vapors can cause primers to spontaneously combust.
Actually just the opposite. According to SAMI
"4. Primers exposed to water or any organic solvent,
such as paint thinner, gasoline, kerosene, oil, grease, etc.
may deteriorate, resulting in misfires or poor ignition."

Great stuff in this thread. Good work you small space reloaders! Love your setup ElDub.Comment

What, you're single and you don't have a press bolted to the kitchen table? That's weird.Comment

Right now I load in the garage. When temperatures are too uncomfortable, I'll bring in my case prep center to trim and prep brass inside, and I hand prime, but the press it outside. Kinda sucks when it's really hot/cold, sometimes during those months I don't load at all.
My next house will have a "man cave" inside where I can reload comfortably indoors, maybe with a TV so I could even watch the football game while loading. Ah...a man can dream, can't he?Comment

I see lots of, idiotics, new word, in store isles. It doesn't mean I have to repeat them.Ever see the ammo isle at a store? That's all primers and powders! Touching each other even.
I know it happens. I know lots of experienced Reloads could care less and even argue the topic of spark and gunpowder ignition.Comment

If you are challenged for space I can recommend a solution that will do everything you want to do and fit in a small tool bag.
Buchanan Precision Machine Portable Reloading Press.

I would not suggest melting lead indoors. Garage with concrete floor would be better in case there is a spill or a splat. Outside in a shady area would be good too.
The worst part from a lead dust standpoint is the depriming. If you are ever going to have kids or have kids around, be respectful of lead. It causes birth defects.
If you have a small space, consider one of these:
Using some C clamps with the press screwed to 2x4 (single stage) or 2x12 (something bigger) will keep it on the bench, and can be stowed when not in use.
For the depriming, I have a single stage press on the end of a 2x4. I put the end of it under my left leg with the press end over the top of my right leg, and have used the press in a car. (Ever have to stay awake 12 hours on guard duty?) 9mm and 45acp worked really well. 223 not as quick, because the shell was not pointing straight up, so it leaned and it did not want to go in the hole. It still worked, just much slower.
Another option is to setup the bench in the bathroom over the hard floors. Easy to mop up the lead dust. Just put a big beach towel over the sink area.
After that, if you are doing a wet process, everything is clean.
Primer detonations on a progressive press are to be avoided. Neighbors get kinda freaked out when they hear a boom.Comment

How Many Load Ammo Inside Home/Apartment

I live in a studio with a roommate, about 300sqft. My "room" has a bed, dresser, my backpacking gear, reloading bench (micro edition) and a folding camp chair... No walking room. The tumbler is the small corner of the garage, where it doesn't disturb anyone.
Don't ask about my powder storage. About 8-10lbs in a small cabinet. Suffice it to say, if my room catches on fire, I'm not going to die of smoke inhalation... My powder is smokeless 🤯🤫[emoji51]
