Reccomend me case trimmer

Save up and get a Giraud. You will not regret it. My wife bought me one for christmas and I love it. I have trimmed upwards of 10k 223 since it showed up. Not one problem with it.

Again, the Giraud is not the answer to all trimming needs! The OP needs to plan ahead and figure out what he really needs a trimmer to do and the what kind of trimmer will do it. The Giraud will not trim straight(er) walled cartridges like .30 carbine. Also, it would be expensive to get collets to trim 20 or 30 different calibers. This is where a Lymann, RCBS or other lathe type trimmer would be better. But, if he's only going to trim high volumes of one or two calibers, I'd agree with you.

I own a Giraud to chop down 50 BMG brass for use with DTC.

I do most of my trimming by quantity on the Dillon RT-1200, and its a heck of a lot faster than the Giraud.

However, smaller batches and calibers I don't reload enough to merit an RT-1200 die for, gets done on the RCBS Trim Mate that I mounted to a board and lay across the arms of my recliner in the front room.

I need to take pics of that... I also need to buy the tri-angled cutter head for it so that it'll do the V cuts like the Giraud. No more manual operations with the RCBS chamfering/debutting hand tool... which looks like an uber aggressive 12ga slug.

I will pretty much just be doing 5.56 and some .45's but I think someone posted earlier that you dont need a case trimmer for those. A couple hundreds at a time is what ill be doing but im a college student with more time than money and the Giraud is way out of my price range, I think ill end up going with the one that you can attach the drill too, somethin like this...

I am using the cheap Lee ones right now on my 12 drill, works fine for now haha

i too use that but i cannot recommend it in good conscience
cause i am often swearing like a drunken sailor while using it
for the fact that i never can tighen the rimgrabber tight enough to not have it wiggle free or at the end have trouble loosening it from being too tight

The trimmer includes the one-way cutter.
That cutter only trims the length.
It does not chamfer or deburr the case mouth.
You would need a separate deburring tool to do that.
The three-way cutter that is mentioned will trim the length AND chamfer/deburr all at once, like a Giraud.
That's another $40 or so per caliber. (the 22 caliber model works for 223, 22-250 etc.)
Depending on what trimmer you buy, it may use regular shell holders, or special shelplates.
You would need to buy the proper shellplate for the cartridge case you are going to trim.
