    Orange County Reloading Club

Is there a reloading group in OC? Would like to reload 45ACP as an entry to reloading.

If not, would like to form a group to buy a 650 and learn.

    Hey Duece,

Not sure about the group as I'm new to the site but I to am in OC and just started reloading. I'm reloading 9mm with a Lee Pro 1000. Its going great so far. I'm about 400 rounds done so far and have to say that i have found a good recipe that gives me much tighter groups that some bulk factory ammo. I'm sold on it and its a great hobby and excuse to sit in the garage.

      Go to http://reloadoc.com
The owner is very nice and he can set you up with a Dillon 650. He will take as much time as necessary to get you up and going comfortably.

Pm me if you wanna learn straight walled pistol cases. Plan for about an hour in my garage, and we will make 50 from start to finish! It will give you a great "tour" of the reloading process.

I too agree that you consult with OC Reloading. Brian is a good person and will guide you in the process. I have my own equipment so I'm not in need of a common reloading press. To many people having access is a problem for me. If you want some other guidance on reloading this forum is a very good place for general information too. I'm in South OC and would be willing to show you my press the Dillon 550B. Just PM me if you want. Have a good weekend.

I'll be looking into this shortly, I'm thinking of buying a 9mm handgun just for shooting and target practice and will be looking to start reloading myself in near future.

I am learning as well. I am starting on an Lee Classic Turret. I just did my first batch of 9mm and 45 ACP. I am still getting thing dialed in but having lots of fun.

I shopped around a little on my XL650, but also recommend Brian over reloadOC. I'm still very new, but interested in a group in OC.
I'm setup for .223 and all components for .308 but not put together yet. I have not done a complete bullet yet due to mounting location. I just started building my own workbench, so hopefully soon I'll be rolling out some rounds.

                      Followup

Per your suggestions, visited Reload OC and Brain steered me to the Lee Classic Turret. Great guy. Now in the process of setting it up and learning. Still think anOC reloading group would be great.

I have reloaded over 500 9mm and 200 45 ACPon mine in the last 3 weeks. I just got my 40sw dies today. I will start on that next. Once you get it set and get a smooth rhythm set you can make some rounds.

I found the small primers more prone to flip and go in sideways or upside down. Just prime slowly and firmly but not aggressively.
