    Loading up some 300wizzum today

Been so obsessed with making 3-gun ammo I have neglected the 300, and decided to put together some 168's for it. I actually have no data for the 168gr Speer Match with RE17, as I switched over from 4350 a couple years ago, and have really only been shooting 208's since. So yeap, all new starting point.

Putting together these test loads today-
    Starting load of 65.5, 66, 66.5, 67
    Winchester NP brass
    Fed 215 primer
    RE17
    2.950

I expect to see about 3100 out of 66 and 3150 out of 67gr, with room to go up from there, but 3100 was the sweet spot with the Speers with 4350, so we will see. Tempting to load some 68gr loads up, but no need to get ahead of myself.

Rifle is the stock FN TSR with 24" 1in10 barrel

So I shot the 64.00 65.5 loads yesterday and pretty much as expected the 65.5gr loads were right around 3080fps with a SD of 11 and decent group ruined by a flyer I threw. Shot strings of 3 since thats how many the mag holds. Started to shoot the 66gr loads but was losing the light and decided to wait for another day. Not really sure why my SD went from 7 to 11, so I will need to examine my process and components a bit, or I might need to do a better job cleaning the barrel between groups. It might be time for a 30cal competition seating die. Still think 3100-3150 is going to be the accuracy sweet spot for the 168gr in this rifle, so will shoot the 66 and 66.5gr loads when I get back from SHOT.
