.303 British Bullet Weight Differences.

A friend gave me about 65 180 Grain Soft Point .303 British Bullets. My reloading book. Hornady 7th Edition only goes up to 174 Grain. Wasn't sure if it was a big deal to just use the loads listed for the 174 Grain with 180 Grain bullets since its only a difference of 6 Grains but I figured I would ask. Also the bullets look very similar to the #3130 Bullets listed. The book also lists the use of H4895 Powder which I have quite a bit of. Here is a picture of the page as well.

Any safe reloader cross compares at least two and preferably three sources.
I am finding 180gr .303 British load data from three powder brands across sixteen different powders in just a few seconds. The Hodgdon Reloading Data is one of the few on-line sources I would trust.

Thank you! I will check that out right know. I do have the lyman book but doesn't list the powder I have available.

I've used the 180gr RN bullets in my Enfield using the 174gr data. You'll be fine using it since there is such a small variance in weight for that bullet. I used IMR4064 and had excellent results - I went about 1/3 into the load data and stayed well below max.

You will be good. No need to load hot if only target shooting. If hunting load a bit more. Be sure to neck or partly FL resize as the Enfield chambers(if the rifle is a mil surplus one) are overly large for reliability plus the rifles used in war did not reload their ammo. If you FL resize you will not get many reloads on your brass. Like 2-3 only
