how is this for startup

just wanted your guys advice on this for a startup reloader set. I found decent prices on all these but I'd like a second opinion and what else will I need to start out.

How much are they asking for it? You might be better off just getting one of those starter packs from Midway or Grafs or any of those companies.

Read up on the difference between neck sizing and full length sizing to be sure you buy the correct dies.
Neck sizing is for bolt guns where you are only re-using brass that's previously fired in the same gun.
Full length sizing is for autoloaders or brass that was last fired in a different gun.

Most of what will be said in here would probably already have been covered in there as this thread is basically a duplicate of that thread. Plus I recommend the kit that is mentioned in there. If you're ordering from MidwayUSA, just wait for the backorder. They're usually REALLY good about getting stuff back on stock, especially the Lee kits.

Seriously. You can't wait until monday? That's when they'll have it back in stock. I recommend you wait. The Lee Challenger kit is only $89 and comes with everything you need besides the dies and reloading components.

thanks again for your comments. I will do the kit and I can wait I just dont want to wait a month+. (factorysales.com) told me. Just found out they are not the same as Lee itself.

I did read some of the threads but there is so much info it gets hard to sift through it all.

ditch the lee scale, it will drive you insane! i recommend a Dillon which is pricier but well worth it.

Not a bad selection of gear, but the trickler isn't strictly needed.
And if you'll ever be picking up range brass, you'd be better served by starting off with a set of full-lenth resizing dies. But if you'll be fastidiously using nothign but your own fired brass, and buying factory new brass, neck sizing will do.
But the total price for what you've listed seems about $30 too high. Careful shopping should reduce the cost, or maybe the $30 premium is worth it to you for one-stop shopping. Or of no concern at all.

Don't forget to get a reloading handbox and read it at least TWICE! Save you lots of heading scratching. Like the guys that don't know how bell the mouth of a case,and wonder why they can't seat a bullet without deforming the case. Take your time and enjoy the results.
