Cleaning hulls

Been reloading handgun rounds and recently some rifle rounds.
Someone is giving me a shotshell reloading setup.

Now for my stupid question.
Do I run the empty shells through my media cheaper like I do with brass? Will it destroy the plastic?

I loaded Shot Shells for many years, don't any more. I never found the need to clean the hulls. As long as they didn't have caked mud / dirt on / in them.

You don't want to wash them with water, especially any hulls that have a paper or fiber inside base.

You don't clean shotgun hulls.....shoot and reload

Difference from metallic reloading is that each hull brand/ and or type is different in constitution and do not interchange with a recipe.

Each hull has its own set of recipes....so no loading of mixed batches of hulls.
