    Apps to estimate load data

I have heard about a phone app which lets you put in cartridge, powder, bullet, and sone other parameters. It would them estimate pressure, velocity, and energy. Does anybody use any apps like that? If so, what apps are you using and are they pretty good?

Im looking to estimate gor subsonic load data as well as estimate velocities for cast and plated bullets.

Subscribed, almost seems like a liability issue if i has anything other than the information currently published in available books. But would be extremely handy if we could tweak a few recipes

Quickload is the only interior ballistics program that I know of. If your phone can emulate the Windows OS, you can run that. It doesn't require too much CPU horsepower and is very accurate, at least close enough to validate for safe middle of the road loads.

I use Richard Lee's basic formulas from his 2nd Edition reloading manual. Basically, Richard has done the hard work and estimated pressure as it relates to powder charge to a given cartridge and provided a calculation. The result is not 100% accurate and does change as the powder type changes. I only use it in an Excel spread sheet to approximate pressure maximums for general purposes. No application of the data is made and Richard advises that one should not use his approach to establish maximum loads.

100% reliable, lab tested data that has been tested and checked and double checked 100 times at great expense is a click away on the powder manufacturers site...

Indeed, but not for subsonic 7.62x39. I dont think im gonna go that route though. Thinking instead of 9mm. Easy to load quiet and data is already available.
