    22 caliber Nosler 80gr HPBT bullets...$136.95 per 1K...

I came across this while looking for some 80gr 223 bullets.

Price is $136.95 for 1k rounds. This is almost $100 off from other places I have seen. These are factory over runs. These are not factory seconds. I just ordered 1k. Just wanted to pass this along for all those other Cal Gunners who might have missed it.

I purchased some last week as well... I am gonna try them in a 20" 1:8 twist AR I am building. Also thinking about picking up a Ruger American All Weather chambered in 223 for these as well.

I have not shot the Nosler's at 80gr, but the 40gr Ballistic Tip Varmit rounds are my favorite in the 40gr weight group. I just picked up some 40gr Honiday Z-Max to try out and see how they do.

I have shot before the 80gr Sierra Match Kings in 223 with my AR-15 16" barrel and 1-8 twist. I can't wait to try these Nosler rounds. I love shooting these out to 600 yards and ringing steel. I jumped on these as soon as I saw the price.

I will also be putting together a 20 to 24" AR barrel for long distance shooting. I think I may go with a 1-7 twist.

The Nosler 80 works fine, but it's a bit of a dog compared to the 80SMK. Don't get me wrong, they work and they are pretty consistent but they are the last >77gr that I'd shoot at 600 if there was money to win. For plinking they are fantastic and I've run them at mag length before.
weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.
frank: Wait a minute. There are more than one wizard? Is [are?] the wizard calibrated?
