    Anyone using these lipstick bullets?

I ordered some of these because they were recommended to me. Any opinions on them? I know there's a few companies that produce them. I ordered from falcon bullets from what i understand they are very clean and are ok to use with polygonal rifling. Are you supposed to use lead loading data?

How many did you buy and what caliber? Been wanting to try poly coated bullets as well. Can trade you for equal quantity Xtreme 115 grain 9mm plated rn, or 180 grain 40 s&w plated hp. Whatever you can spare. Let me know if you are interested...

If it helps, you have to flare the case mouth open a little wider. If you don't, the case mouth will scrape the coating off. Or so I read.

Are you talking about the polymer coated bullets like these? https://www.badmanbullets.com/Online...t+Lead+Bullets

If so then yes they're good stuff if loaded properly (more case flare) and you can use lead or plated (but not jacketed) load data. Less smoke, no leading =
Go their FAQ page for more info. I've shot thousands of their bullets with zero complaints.

They work well for me. Use lead load data. The velocity ends up slightly higher than lead bullets with wax lube.

I do for everything from Cowboy Action Shooting to Glock shooting and they work great! Yes load them with lead data. I get my projectiles from here. >>> https://www.badmanbullets.com/Online...t+Lead+Bullets

I love powder coated bullets for my handguns, except I powder coat my own cast bullets

yep, my skittles boolits above are my own powder coated boolits from NOE 5 cav aluminum molds. Tonight I was working on building a new 100 pound capacity lead casting post. The lee 20 pound empties out too fast.

Some people worried about the coatings being abrasive, but extensive testing from castboolits members shows that the gloss powder coating has not worn their barrels any noticeable amount over 10's of thousands of rounds. There is concern over matte powder coat.

Coated bullets, even commercial moly coated, beat the heck out of was lube as my guns stay much cleaner and there is far less smoke. That becomes a problem if you run a big competition or class and run 500-800 rounds through a gun in a day.

IIRC, Stilly does a lot of his own powder coating for reloads.
