If swager is set right, check that shellplate is in tight enough and the screw holding that adjustment is tight and not loosening during use. Is the plastic piece acting as the locator pin for the priming position adjusted to the right dimension........case should not be touching that plastic piece otherwise it will cant the case and primer will sometimes jam up. Mixed brands of cases will vary enough the swaging operation effectiveness will vary along with it.

this should fix most your issue. you may still have 1 in 100 primers not seat properly but thats even rare with .45 cutting an old piece of brass to make sure that the rod is set right is priceless.NRA Endowment Life Member

Now on my 1050 if I don't have a little downward pressure on the primer mag tube it didn't always feed the primers. If I have too much it seems to flip out the primers. With the nut loose I would get a few cases with no primers, but I would get a total of 100 with primers. If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.Comment

Oh yeah good point u have a 45 slug covered with a piece of 454 casul brass over the top of my primer follower.
I have always tightened the blast cap for the primer tube snug if I leave it loose primers don't feed right.NRA Endowment Life Member

Nice...so pretty much everyone that posted above you posted "crapp" (spelling), and your post is spot on. Thanks for the compliment. I'm sure we all appreciate having someone with such wisdom here.If you want help on Dillon issue the Calguns peanut gallery is the wrong place.
Take a trip over to Brian Enos's forum for help. You will get it with out the Calguns crapp.
If you did try to seat a LPP in a case for SPP you would get an "Earth Shattering Kaboom" so we know that's not the issue.
Maybe we should all head over to "Brian Enos's" (spelling again - there is no second "s") forum and leave you here alone. That is of course if I can convince the "peanut gallery" to come with me.
You should keep your insults to yourself. We were trying to help.
Edit: Oh ya, OP admitted to finding small primer cases and it didn't go "kaboom." Go figure hu?Last edited by Yerman; 11-19-2016, 10:52 PM.Comment

Actual I found small primer cases in the un-run cases. I check every round after I complete the 100 I do in each group. No mashed/crushed primers.
But after the spp brass I found, I now plan to go through all the remaining empty brass to verify its all LPP.Comment

I'll go ahead and put school in session.
First Brian Enos is well Brian Enos's name. When I added the " 's " at the end I was using it in the possessive tense. You know like Brian Enos owns the forum.

This is a snip from Brian Enos's forum. I guess he thinks it is correct too.
Second so I added an extra "p" sorry I was typing on my cell phone.
Third-- Over on Brian Enos's forum it was a topic of discussion when people started trying to load a large pistol primer in to a small pistol primer case and they blew up their priming system. One of the things was some people didn't use the swaging tool on their 1050 so they would not know when a SPP case made it through. If you used the swaging tool you knew you had a SPP case.
Further more if you are familiar with the 1050 you would know you have absolutely no feel of the primer seating. The 1050 seats the primer at the bottom of the stroke at the same time the press resizes, deprimes, swages, flares, seats the bullet, and crimps it.
You are the exact reason I suggested he go look over there and not here, sorry,
Class dismissed. If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.Comment
