    Reloading components prices falling??

I was told the other day by a employee of an electrical company that recycles all their copper and aluminum wire that the price of metals has dropped dramatically in the past month or so... does anyone think we'll see a decline in the cost of reloading components?

The prices of components and ammo is just ridiculous!!!

While we can all hope, I think the cost of these items are related to the fact supply cannot keep up with demand.

Well, I hope I'm reading this right, but it looks like the supply is way up...

Since everyone is sold out of most reloading components and most items are on back order, why would they want to lower their prices and shoot themsleves in the foot, or cut their own throats.

No you are not. Raw copper and lead is worthless. What are you going to do with it? The bottleneck is the manufacturing process. They can't keep up with the demand.

Yup. The ones reaping the cheap commodity prices right now are the manufacturers of reloading supplies, not the consumers of said supplies.

You also have to remember that a lot of the manufactures are using stock that they had purchased awhile back. Just because the prices are down this month for those components does not mean that the prices are going to be down for the projectiles that they produce. They have to make up their loss.

You couple that right now with the amount of demand that they are having to fill and most likely running the machines a little bit more and a little bit longer. They gotta cover their expenses.

Look for stuff to come down after a few months if the demand falls and they can keep stuff in stock everywhere.

If the crackheads are stealing your copper plumbing then give them a case of copper and lead poisoning.

I was going to buy some components recently but price is way up and out of stock.I have enough to last a me a bit(at the rate i have been shooting lately).

Going to wait out the panic buyers then hope it gets cheap then buy a major bulk purchase of .45 and .223.

IMO its like buying frenzy kinda like the housing market was a couple of years ago if its availible buy now dont wait.

Yup. When you see some components at a decent price, snatch them up.

Thats the problem everyone else is and the price gets higher from supply and demand then add the panic buyers.I havent bought reloading stuff in while but the last purchase i made everything was half the price vs today. And reloading was only done by few.

Been out of the loop for a while and was kinda sticker shocked when i have been looking lately. The only thing i am out of right now is .45 but still have quite a few .223 left over as well as .30 cal.

i bought 1k of winchester FMJ 9mm from cabelas a three months for $83. bought the same thing again from them today for $100. regardless of the cost of materials they're going to keep prices the same if not raise them if demand doesn't decrease.

Well Eric HOlder just got confirmed as AG, so I'm not seeing demand or prices falling at all. If anything the demand will increase.

Scrap copper is scrap copper. same with brass etc. Now when youre talking about somethign that can be REUSED without actually having to go through a bunch of machining or processing price will stay high. ESPECIALLY if its in demand.
