In my instance, I have 3 different rifles chambered in .243 Win. All you have to do is keep the ammo lots separate for each rifle. Which is not hard at all. I use a color code. Felt tip permanent markers covering the head of each case.

Red case heads............ Rem 660 carbine.

Black case heads.......... Rem 700 rifle.

Blue case heads........... Rem 788 rifle.

I realize that but neck sizing with a collet die or with a full length sizer adjusted to neck size may not cross over from one rifle to another (of the same caliber)....I had another 30-06 besides the one I have now and the neck sized brass from one would not chamber properly in the other rifle..close but no cigar...The full length sizer puts the cartridge back to SAAMI specs which are smaller than most if not all rifle chambers are concerned so that the ammo will "always" be usable in all rifles of that caliber...I had meant that if you use the collet or neck size with an adjusted full length die you will have to keep them segregate by the rifle they were fired in in most cases...I think that is what you are confirming.

I do not have fewer than 5 30/06 riles, one has a chamber that is .002" longer than a field reject length chamber from the shoulder to the bolt face, to a few reloaders that means the chamber is .016" longer than a minimum length/full SAAMI case. It is also .011" longer than a go-gage length chamber etc. etc..

I sort rifles based on chamber lengths, if I build it I start with a short chamber. All of this is possible because my dies and presses have threads.
